Viewers at home would have felt dizzy looking at their TV schedules on Tuesday night to find Waterloo Road absent from the listing. Don’t worry you’re not going crazy, all can be attributed to a massive schedule shake up.

Over the last year, fans of soaps and TV dramas have had to get used to flagship shows on the BBC getting moved around with little warning. From Strictly Come Dancing to EastEnders, many shows were cancelled from their usual slot to accommodate the Qatar World Cup.
