Amazon pick for better road safety: alerts on road hazards and speed cameras
Now a new device has hit the UK market, which aims to improve driver focus and safety by alerting them to upcoming hazards on the roads and helping to keep them within the speed limit.
It’s called the CO-DRIVER and has already sold more than 2million across Europe – making it a category leader on Amazon and an Amazon choice. And to mark its launch, Edinburgh News readers have the chance to win one of 10 devices worth £69.99 each.
According to national statistics from the UK Government, in the year ending June 2023 there were an estimated 1,633 fatalities across Great Britain and a total of 29,429 people died or were seriously injured. There were 133,443 casualties of all severities.

The alerts on speed cameras (fixed, mobile, and traffic lights) and road hazards (accidents, roadworks, debris, breakdowns) are in real time, and to help ensure the information is bang up to date, the CO-DRIVER relies on data from OOONOs community of users and data from the European database Blitzer.
Drivers can tap the device to confirm the hazard is still there or push the button on the CO-DRIVER NO2 to dismiss it, if the road is now clear, helping keep the information right up to date and meaning the more people that use it, the more effective it becomes.
