It was a busy transfer window for the Edinburgh side with nine players coming into the club over the summer. Closing the gap on the top three will be the aim for Eva Olid and there is no doubt that their recent signings have been a statement of intent. Now that many of the new faces have had time to adapt to their new surroundings, we feel we can make an accurate prediction on what their best starting line-up looks like.
5. CB - Georgia Hunter
The captain is one of Hearts’ most consistent performers. After leading her side to their highest-ever position last season, the 22-year-old did it while keeping one of the best defences in the league. However, new signing Lizzie Waldie is likely to keep the captain on her toes however, with the former Crystal Palace centre-back already starting multiple games so far this season. 6. LB - Esther Morgan
Another great summer signing, Morgan has helped to further tighten Hearts’ defence since coming in. In a demanding position, the fullback has more than met the challenges so far as she looks to fight off Addie Handley for a spot in the starting 11. 7. CM - Ciara Grant
Last season's Player of the Year is an obvious starter for Hearts. The Republic of Ireland international’s vision and passing ability allow her to dominate the middle of the field and completely turn the tide of a game. Her set-piece delivery is also a joy to behold and will cause panic to any defending team in the division. Credit: David Mollison Photo: David Mollison
8. CM - Park Ye-Eun
While the South Korean international is yet to make an appearance in maroon (hopefully we will have a photo soon), her reputation coming into the club speaks for itself. After playing in the WSL last season, Park Ye-Eun has also played against World Cup finalist England recently. However, Erin Rennie will no doubt give the 26-year-old tough competition for a starting spot. Image Credit: Colin Poultney/SWPL Photo: Colin Poultney
