AN experienced silicon entrepreneur has been appointed to the board of Wolfson Microelectronics, the Edinburgh-based chip maker.
Glenn Collinson, who managed the growth and rise of Cambridge Silicon Radio from its roots as a start-up project in 1998 to its listing as a public company in 2004, has become a non-executive director at the Westfield firm.

Mr. Collinson, 45, will serve as a member of the Audit Committee of Wolfson.

Michael Ruettgers, chairman at Wolfson, said: "We are delighted to appoint someone of Glenn's standing and reputation to further strengthen the board of Wolfson.

"We look forward to benefiting from Glenn's substantial experience in business development, and his outstanding sales and marketing credentials will be a significant asset."
