Firemen stop estate blaze

FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze at an industrial estate in East Lothian.
The fire service received a number of calls from concerned residents and passers-by to the site at Macmerry, in Tranent, at about 11.10pm last night.

When they arrived they found four adjacent portable cabins were alight. The blazing cabins were dangerously close to another building and firefighters had to act quickly to stop the fire spreading.

Surely they acted quickly to minimise damage rather than to stop the fire spreading, so if the fire wasn't going to spread they would have just let it burn out whilst drinking tea, stupid.
