THIS year's Edinburgh Interactive Festival has been hailed a huge success.
Some of the computer industry's key decision-makers in video and interactive entertainment have praised the festival for increasing focus on the cultural impact and relevance of games.

David Yarnton, general manager of Nintendo UK said: "There's something for everyone at Edinburgh Interactive: consumers, trade and people just interested in the cultural aspects of video games."

Sony Computer Entertainment UK's managing director, Ray Maguire said: "It's the sixth year that I've been here, so I've been here right from the start and it's great to see how the show has evolved over all those years."

The festival took place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre during August.
