AN exhibition will showcase the work of adults with learning disabilities and schoolchildren who are working with professional artists at the Port Seton Resource Centre this week.
The centre has hosted a visit from the Travelling Gallery, Scotland's mobile art gallery in a bus, inspiring several groups who were invited to the centre to create sea-themed artwork using flotsam and jetsam from the beaches of East Lothian.

The professional artists photographed the process and their images will be unveiled at the centre on Friday.

John Murphy, senior day service officer from Port Seton Resource Centre, had the initial idea of bringing the gallery to Port Seton and inviting the artists.

He said: "I'm really happy that the idea has now became reality. The enthusiasm from the arts officers from East Lothian Council, the artists, the participants from the resource centre and the school have made this a huge success and a valuable piece of joint working."

Karena Fegan, who uses the Port Seton Resource Centre, said: "It was a bit funny going onto a bus and finding a gallery inside but it was wonderful. The workshop was great. I made a picture of a boat and a rainbow from things found on the beach."
