THE redeveloped former C&A store in the Capital has secured another new tenant.
Edinburgh-based stockbroker Stocktrade is to move into Redevco's offices above H&M at 40 Princes Street.
The company is to take 10,978 square feet of space in what is one of the biggest deals of 2008 for a financial occupier.
It follows Aberdeen Asset Management and CMC Markets as the third financial occupier of the building.
Craig Watson, associate director at leasing agent Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "This letting to Stocktrade is significant as its only one of a limited number of deals over 1000 square metres this year and brings another financial operator to the building and east end of Princes Street.
"The office market in 2008 has been primarily driven by the professional services sector so it is promising to witness a letting of this size in the financial sector, especially given the current economic uncertainty."
Stocktrade is to pay a rate of £27 per sq ft. The redeveloped 40 Princes Street now only has one suite of 5,360sq ft remaining.
