FORENSIC officers were today investigating the death of a 79-year-old woman at her home in the Abbeyhill area.
The woman, named locally as Anne Amos, lived in Brand Place.

Police were called to the scene at around 8pm last night to investigate. They are currently treating the death as unexplained, but could not today confirm whether there were any suspicious circumstances.

Neighbour Carole Thomson said: "I went to the door early on to see what kind of day it was and I saw the police out there. I just knew her to say hello to, but I know she hadn't been well."
