HIBS are to give fans who haven't renewed their season tickets a second chance to do so by helping them beat the "credit crunch". Supporters will have until a week on Saturday to take up the club's offer which will allow them the chance to spread the cost over two equal instalments, one payable immediately and the other by November 1.
Today Hibs' director of marketing and communications, Ian Spence, revealed the club had made the move in response to requests from supporters for help.
He said: "We understand investing in a season ticket is a big decision, especially in the current economic climate and many supporters have asked if there are any ways we can help.
"We've looked at the situation and are delighted to be able to offer fans the chance to spread the cost over two payments.
As a "thank you" to supporters for signing up to the "Extra Time" season ticket, they'll be supplied with a £15 voucher for the clubstore in recognition that the first home match against Falkirk has now been played while fans who have already bought a ticket for this weekend's game with Motherwell will have the cost deducted from the price of a season ticket on production of their ticket stub.
Full details can be obtained from the ticket office on 0844 844 1875 or the club's
website.
