HIBS boss Mixu Paatelainen today admitted his delight at getting off the mark in the SPL – but believes his side's win over Falkirk could have been more emphatic.
The Easter Road side have taken criticism in recent weeks as they failed to win any of the pre-season matches and lost out in the SPL opener against Kilmarnock.
However Paatelainen was happy that their hard work came to fruition against Falkirk at
the weekend, with Colin Nish scoring two of his own before setting up what proved to be the winner for young Paul Hanlon.
It was their first win in 15 games and the players were clearly delighted with the outcome but Paatelainen is refusing to get carried away. And, while certain that there is more to come, he cautioned that they cannot take anything for granted when they travel to face Inverness this weekend. He said: "I am happy we won, of course, but we could have and probably should have, scored more.
"We are not getting carried away. We were delighted with the win but it is only one game.
"I was pleased for Colin Nish because his miss against Kilmarnock last weekend was highlighted but he still went out there and put in a good performance with two goals and an assist. We want the boys to keep their feet on the ground but hopefully we can continue to move in the right direction."
