Edinburgh has always had a higher percentage of bankers who have a mistress on the side. Thats why a lot of these places in Edinburgh stay open. Once the bankers get bored of thier mistress then we will see about 10 to 20% of the so called "posh" restaurants closing in Edinburgh.

#3 is that just one mistress to go round them all (she must be fat eating at all these places)?
If they have one each could they not start a sort of exchange scheme, bit like freecycle, to swap them round, say the 15th of every month, so that they don't get bored and help save the posh restaurants.
What's the percentages in other places, like Fauldhouse, Tranent and Hawick please?

A slap up meal at The Witchery costs upwards of £80 - many would agree that is the luxury bracket.

Going down a step, a fish supper is about £5.

Which is a luxury compared to eating Asda SmartPrice spaghetti @ 12p a can.

Itself a luxury compared to eating roadkill.

Which is a real luxury compared to eating silt, plastic, or wee bits of metal off the side of the road.

And that would be a proper luxury compared to eating plutonium.

Get the idea?

Yet another fabulous piece of advertising from the Evening News parasites - sorry journalists in the run-up to the festival. They've been tutored well by the king of freeloaders John 'The Sponge'Gibson. He must have had all his oompa-loompas working overtime down at Holyrood Road this week in an effort to cram in as many restaurant ads as possible.
