THREE new non-executive directors have been appointed to the board at Royal Bank of Scotland.
The Edinburgh-based bank has announced British Land Company chief executive Stephen Hester, former Australia and New Zealand Banking Group chief executive John McFarlane and Prudential chairman Arthur Ryan are all to join the board.
The company also announced that Lawrence Fish and Charles Koch will both retire as non-executive directors of RBS ahead of the annual general meeting in April.
Commenting on the board changes, chairman Sir Tom McKillop said: "Their experience in financial services will be of great benefit to RBS given the increasingly diversified and international nature of our powerful banking franchises."
He also offered thanks to those stepping down.
