PASSENGERS at Edinburgh Airport are facing big delays this evening after a pothole was discovered in the main runway.

HOLE IN ONE: Flights were diverted today after a hole was found in the airport's main runway.
The runway was closed while engineers fixed the fault and planes were diverted onto the crosswind runway.
The hole, at the Newbridge end of the runway, was discovered at around 2pm and airport operator BAA said repair work was completed by 4.45pm.
A total of four flights bound for Edinburgh were diverted to other airports in Scotland, while the majority of flights in and out of Edinburgh are facing delays.
A £16 million, eight-month resurfacing programme of the airport's main runway got underway two weeks ago.
