Murdo urges Burley to attack

FORMER Scotland midfielder Murdo MacLeod feels George Burley needs to get more out of his players when they face Argentina.
Burley has won only one of his six matches in charge of Scotland ahead of the glamour tie at Hampden on November 19, when Argentina are set to be coached by Diego Maradona. The manager will be boosted by the likely return of Alan Hutton and Barry Ferguson, with injury restricting the key pair to one match between them under Burley.
MacLeod said: "He has been unfortunate not having Barry and Alan Hutton but we have still got a lot of good players. I think he just needs a wee bit more out of the players. They have all been working hard enough, battling, but it's just not happening football-wise. We have not been scoring enough goals.
"This is a friendly game, there is nothing at stake apart from your pride and the fact your country wants you to do well. But I think it's important the players just go out and play. It's no use getting a full house here at Hampden Park and coming to watch Scotland just sit in against Argentina. They have got to have a wee go at them."
