DALMAHOY have succeeded Duddingston as holders of the Inter-Cities Trophy, a match between the champions of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
After losing the first leg 5½-3½ through at Windyhill, the Marriott men won 6-3 at home to come out on top by just one point.

Tom Blennerhasset, the Lothians Junior champion, won his game in the return leg, as did Dougie Hunter, Kevin Messer, Chris Brown, Brad Muir and Tim Cooper. The brainchild of former SGU president and Kingsknowe stalwart Graham Ewart, the match was first held in 2006 when Cawder beat Kingsknowe. The following year, Duddingston claimed the spoils with victory over Whitecraigs.

Kingsknowe and Royal Burgess, who meet in the final of the Applecross Edinburgh Summer League next month, will fly the flag for Edinburgh in next year's event.

Second-leg results (Dalmahoy names first): D Marshall lost to K Smyth two holes; D Hunter beat D Devaney 5 and 4; R McGuire lost to B Kerr 2 and 1; K Messer beat G Souter 8 and 7; T Blennerhasset beat N Stevens 5 and 4; C Brown beat I Jones 8 and 7; B Muir beat G Cochrane two holes; T Cooper beat R McGhee one hole; I Campbell lost to B Fitzsimmons one hole.
