HADDINGTON'S Mark Lamb, who lost out in a play-off in the North equivalent at Nairn on Sunday, will be hoping to go one better in this weekend's South East District Open at Duddingston.
The penultimate counter in the Scottish Order of Merit, the 72-hole stroke-play event has attracted a strong field, though Scottish champion Callum Macaulay is unable to defend his title due to the fact he's on Great Britain & Ireland duty at Kings
barns this weekend.

Wallace Booth, the current Scottish Stroke-play champion, is also playing in the St Andrews Trophy match against the Continent of Europe but Lamb's title rivals in the Capital will include a number of current and former internationalists. They include Kevin McAlpine, John Gallagher, Gavin Dear and Craig Watson as well Scott Borrowman, who helped Europe beat America in the Palmer Cup earlier this year.
