HEARTS boss Csaba Laszlo revealed today that Adrian Mrowiec is likely to be out of action for the rest of the year.
The Tynecastle side's summer signing from FBK Kaunas has made only two appearances for the first team after aggravating an existing knee problem since moving to Scotland.

The injury failed to respond to treatment and the player was forced to go u
nder the knife earlier this week in Lithuania to remove excess fluid from the joint.

The 24-year-old is now on the road to recovery but Laszlo warned Hearts supporters that they may not see the player in action again for some time to come. He said: "Adrian has had this problem for a little while.

"It is unfortunate but, having visited a specialist, it was decided that an operation was required. He had it done earlier this week and it is unlikely that he will be featuring for us before the New Year."

Meanwhile, Laszlo believes striker Mike Tullberg could be fit to face Rangers next weekend. Tullberg has also suffered from a string of injury problems since signing for the Jambos and Laszlo added: "He will maybe be fit to face Rangers. We cannot wait for him to be 100 per cent. He is working well and the most important thing for him is to be injury free. Once that happens we can help him to come back quickly."

I heard we've a sign at Tynie that parodies the one on the Statue of Liberty. It reads

"Give me your lame, your unfit, your injured players yearning to run free.
The wretched rejects of your huddled shore.
Send these, the knackerd, muscled-pulled to me.
I lift my lamp beside the physio's door."

A week ago, "We were not so careful before but the players push themselves. Tullberg said, 'I am fit, no problem,' and now we have the mistake."

Today "He will maybe be fit to face Rangers. We cannot wait for him to be 100 per cent. He is working well and the most important thing for him is to be injury free."

Mrowiec will probably not play for us again, it seems.
I reckon we are setting records for the number of "choobs" & fairies who get contracts, (and big salaries) and produce absolutely zilch.
Funny how injuries suddenly clear up, when these players move onto other clubs...take Bednar for example.

#5 Loan players don't get bigger salaries - they stay on the same salary they are on at the club that owns them. Morwiec will be on a pitance compared to the rest of the squad. This is why Velicka was happy to move on because he was offered about 10 x his salary by that Norwegian (?) club.

The Jambo prayer:

Give us this January an injury free striker who will play nearly every game, who will go a season without an injury, score twenty goals, and won't be on fifteen grand a week.

It maybe in most cases but I don't think a player on loan could live here on the wages they get in Lithuania. Assuming they are on a pittance as you say.

so thats 3 out-field signings.....Tullberg, Obua and Mrowiec and....low and behold 3 injuries.......i thought we were spending time identifying suitable targets now who have the moral fibre to play for us. Or is it just unlucky that all 3 are made of chocolate?

if i was a work-experience physio I'd be crying out to get to Riccarton....injuries from across the world at our very doorstep

Down with everything,

I think that the rehabilitation services on offer at our club are the envy of the footballing world as we only sign crocks.

The loan signings may be paid a pittance (#6 -would like to see proof of what we pay versus what they receive!!), but HMFC are picking up the (no-doubt) private medical bills for Kaunas players.

Weel Kent #1 pretty much spot on.

Bleeding Heart...,

Just WHO is responsible for bringing a string of players to Tynecastle who are (a) seemingly permanently injured (b) have attitude/personality issues or (c) both?

Laszlo only now seems to be getting something out of Nade, but the indolent sh*t has been drawing a decent wage from Hearts since the start of last season!

And what about Pinilla? Beslija? And now Obua/Tullberg/Mrowiec?

Who is responsible for this farce? Who is the mastermind who brought Mrowiec to Hearts when the player had an "existing knee problem"?

Why, Romanov? Tell us why.

After all, you're a footballing genius, Romanov! You know better than someone like George Burley, don't you?

It's because you're such a footballing genius that for almost three years since you sacked Burley, Hearts have been steadily declining. Three years with puppet managers whilst you played real-life "fantasy football".

Laszlo looks responsible for Obua, maybe Tullberg - the rest must be down to Romanov and/or his lackeys.
