Eastern Angles Theatre Company's promotional badges, bear the motto 'I Caught Crabs' – but then their 2008 Fringe show at the Pleasance is called I Caught Crabs in Walberswick.
That said, would you wear one of their buttons?

Joan Rivers would.

Eastern Angles' Karen Goddard takes up the tale: "One of our staff – Jon – was giving out badges to punters in the Pleasance Courtyard the other day when he spotted Joan River
s. Jon approached Joan and offered her a badge ... she asked what it said on the badge. When she found out she laughed and said she had better have two."

Wonder who the second one was for?

Foot kicking along with record books attempt

AS you read this the chances are Paul Foot is part way through his world record attempt to perform the Most Stand-Up Gigs in a 24 hours.

His target is to perform 20 or more shows.

Fresh from his appearance as a finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing in the USA, Foot's record attempt was due to start at 12.15pm today at Laughing Horse at The Argyle.

To set the record Foot must perform each gig in a different accredited Fringe venue, each with its own audience. Each gig must last less than five minutes.

Foot's schedule will see him play his own 50 minute show Off The Top Of/With His Head at Holyrood Too at Faith and appear on Mervyn Stutter's Pick Of The Fringe at The Gilded Balloon, Old Rope at The Pleasance Courtyard, The Cheese and Pineapple Show at The Underbelly, Comedy Club 4 Kids at The Bongo Club and Best of The Fest at The Assembly Rooms. The Guinness Book of World Records have confirmed that no such record is currently held. Now there's a surprise.
