Leith Walk gang attacks leave man scarred

A MAN suffered serious head injuries after being attacked twice by as many as a dozen men and women.
The first attack happened outside the Volunteer Arms on Leith Walk in the early hours of the morning of Sunday August 24.
The 30-year-old was set upon by a group of men and women following a dispute at about 12.15am.
He was then assaulted again further down the road near Kwik Fit. Up to a dozen people were involved but there is no further description of individual suspects.
The victim suffered serious head injuries, and was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment. He has since been released.
A police spokesman said: "This man will suffer permanent scarring as a result of this attack.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, and who saw what happened, to get in touch with police."
