Country park gets a facelift

A SERIES of improvements to Polkemmet Country Park have been carried out by West Lothian Council.
In a report to the Whitburn and Blackburn Local Area Committee, officials said work on a range of measures to stabilise the future of the country park had been carried out.

These included some flood prevention measures to stop footpaths being washed away, improvements to the park's public toilets and the renewal of a pedestrian bridge on the golf course.
