Thieves take £2000 worth of cigarettes in store raid

A PAIR of thieves smashed the windows of a shop with scaffolding poles during a raid before escaping with £2000 worth of cigarettes.
The culprits targeted the RS McColl store in Regent Centre, Linlithgow, at 5am on Tuesday.
Police believe the thieves may be responsible for two attempted break-ins in the town on Monday.
The pair are thought to have smashed six windows at the football clubhouse of Linlithgow Rose FC in Prestonfield Park, Braehead Road between 1.30am and 2am on Monday. After making two attempts to force entry, they fled empty-handed.
They may also have tried to break into Linlithgow Primary School at about 3.30am on Monday.
The first suspect is described as male, 17 years old, 5ft 10in, slight build, short dark hair, wearing a navy blue hoodie. The second is male, 5ft 11in, with short blonde curly hair, wearing a black leather jacket and carrying a rucksack.
