A COMMUNITY health project designed to help people lose weight is to be trialled in West Lothian.
The local council has chosen Armadale as the pilot area for the West Lothian Healthy Weight Initiative.

The new scheme will receive funding of £50,000 for the next three years from the Health Improvement Fund.

Council leader Peter Johnston said: "By setting up this local initiative, we hope that West Lothian will be well placed to be chosen as one of the pathfinder healthy weight communities, which will result in significant central funding from the Scottish Government."
